Happens Once a Year
Checking ESPN's Browns page, I saw that they have the AFC North standings posted already, even though the regular season doesn't start for about three weeks. The Bengals are currently at the top of the list. At least they'll get to say they were in first for a little while.
Edit: Made a minor change to the entry after Dallas pointed out that I apparently am having trouble with the alphabet.
You're about as smart as a Browns fan can be
B comes before C. Baltimore is first in alphabetical order. I could maybe understand if it was Vauxhall and Urbana, those letters are buried in the alphabet, but B and C are in "learning your ABCs." 20+ years of reading should have clued you into that. Maybe you should work on saying the English alphabet on a match.
Or is "Cleveland Rocks!" not a cheer, but a description of its denizens?
It's not in order of team name either--that'd be Cincy-Cleveland-Bawlmer-'Burgh. It's obviously not in order of greatness, or it'd be the Steelers on one list, and the rest of you losers on a completely separate list, duking it out for #2.

Aw, crap. Here I go, trying to make a smartass comment about the Bungles, and I get the friggin' alphabet wrong. Hey, at least I never forgot about money when I was VP$.
Shit. Did that too, didn't I?
So it looks like ESPN's list is random. Maybe some kind soul at ESPN decided to help them out?

Edited the BF entry; the original copy that Dallas is busting on me for said that the Bungles are in first place because "Cincinnati" is first in alphabetical order. Forgot about a largish suburb of DC when I wrote that...
