Disney
My sister,my brother-in-law and I went to Disney World last week while I was visiting (in theory I'll spend most of today driving back). We saw MGM, which wasn't open yet the last time I was there in 1989, and Epcot.
MGM was nice, but small. We saw everything worth seeing in a couple hours. Epcot was actually more of a disappointment -- I thought it was really cool when I was 13, and it hasn't held up well. Some of the exhibits have changed over the years, but I'm guessing that the stuff there in '89 was crap, too. I guess it just helps to be a kid instead of an adult.
Oh well. It's still a good way to kill a day if you can have an employee cast member get you in for free.
Jason,
I am very , VERY sorry I didn't get to see you while you were here. I did receive the e-mail you sent, and I had all intentions of responding. ...Let's just say... 'things' happened. I probably wouldn't have been able to make our 'date', but that was no excuse for my not responding. I hope you will forgive me, and I hope we can try again next time you are visiting.
As for your Disney expierience, I'd have to agree with you on the MGM thing. That place has some cool 'rides', but even on a busy day, it dosen't take long to 'ride' every one of them. However, I found Epcot to be much more interesting at 26 (the last time I was there) than I did at 10 (the first time I was there). Did you take pictures? Who is the 'cast member'? Will you EVER forgive me for my e-rudeness???

Re:
No problem with the e-mail; shit happens sometimes. And with Epcot: I should qualify that statement. The international part was better this time around than it was in '89. The futuristic stuff just didn't hold my interest. I suppose Mission: Space was OK once I got over having Lieutenant Dan in charge of my mission :) The 4-G simulator at the Astronaut Hall of Fame was better though. (Oh yeah, I have to write about my trip over to Canaveral some time this week.)
Anyway, to each their own. Given that I can be entertained by "Teen Titans" you probably shouldn't be taking my review of what's entertaining too seriously anyway :)
