Perfect Conditions Without Even Trying
You know those pictures that if you stare at them from just the right distance in just the right way, a 3-D image will appear? I've always had trouble with those things -- when I can actually get one of the "holograms" to appear it's usually after a few minutes of trying.
Then APOD put up one of their own. Turns out that given the size of the image and the distance I sit from my monitor, I was able to make the image appear within a few seconds.

for whatever reason i've always been able to see those things. never thought being able to cross my eyes would be such a useful talent. =) i saw this one too....such a cute little teapot.

Some people can do it really easily, others have trouble seeing them. I almost always have trouble with it. As for crossing your eyes, I guess smacking you upside the head when we were little did some good after all :P
