Learning Experiences

Sunday I learned that there's a pretty good Burmese restaurant in Falls Church. I also learned that Burmese people like to leave the fat on their meat when they curry it instead of cutting it off and letting the liquid tenderize the meat. I learned that mushy, barely-solid fat is pretty much disgusting. But you can ask for the meat to be cooked sans fat, which I will next time, so I'm willing to write that off as a one-time thing. Now I just have to remember how to get there.

Testing, one, two three.....

The entry you made about posting comments wont let me post a comment. So, here I am, commenting on squishy meat, instead.

Oh, yeah.. about squishy meat: Ew.

Weird... my admin interface that I use isn't letting me post either, and I haven't touched it at all since last November. Lucky for me I can write straight to the database, but that's annoying (especially since I have to remember to escape all the apostrophes I'm using, and because I forgot what I called the field that stores the comment author's name). I wonder what's going on here...

Oh well, I can't take a look from work, so I'll have to check it out when I get home. Which hopefully won't be at 8:00 again.

December 31, 1969, 'eh?
That's an awful lot of time traveling you had to do to answer this.
Either you were in 1969, came to '05, read my comment, went back to '69 and responded, OR, you were here in '05 and went back to '69 after reading my comment.
Either way, I'm impressed.

I just wanna say 69 again.

Nothing so interesting :) I just forgot what the date column's name was, and that's how the date parser handles a 0. (0 in UNIX time is 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC if that helps you figure out why my post came from the winter of 69.) I think I remembered the column name today, so the date should be more realistic.

Still haven't gotten around to fixing the thing though.

Edit: Nope, can't remember the damn name. I really ought to make myself an admin page that shows all my table and column names for when I foul things up like this.
