Coincidences
Like I always do when I get home, I grabbed the mail. Saw my electric bill was in there. Since it's been fairly cool here lately, and the apartments aren't well-insulated, I ripped the thing open and saw... a (relatively) low number. Thinking that probably wasn't right, I saw that it was addressed to the people one floor down.
Their names? Fleischmann. Which is how my family's name was spelled up until about 100 years ago.
I don't have a phone book, since I don't have a land line, so I can't check to see how many Fleshmans/Fleischmanns there are around here. Back in Akron the only ones were relatives. Out of a city of 225,000 or so, we were the only ones. I think there were only three in all of Pittsburgh.
And the Fleischmanns are getting ready to move out. They were here all last year and I never met them. Dang.
