Mystery Solved
So, disappearing Nylabones. Turns out the edible ones are a couple orders of magnitude less sturdy than the standard ones. Ginger totally went to town on the one I brought home yesterday, reducing it to a nub in a couple hours and a few specks on the carpet over the course of the evening. I guess there's no nefarious teleportation plot like I originally suspected.
Though given the gas it's given her I'm kinda wishing I was right the first time.
